(From my vault of sessions in April of this year on all things public speaking…now free for all!)
What does giving a talk and a victoria sponge have in common?
Today we’re looking at the topic of structural elements in speeches and presentations.
We explore the three-part rule—beginning, middle, end—the magic of bookending your message, and how to avoid the common trap of over-explaining. Because just like a great cake, a well-structured speech is more appealing and effective than a disorganized one…and keeps people coming back for more.
We also highlight the significance of timing and practice in public speaking, Most speeches could benefit from being edited by about 30%.
I’ll be back on Saturday with the session of the week that speaks to communication on a more broader level…listening. How good a listener are you?👂🏻👂🏻
I LOVE YOU!💫☀️
