Allow your presence to the be the present🎁

Week 4, Session 1.
3

Hello hello me lovelies,

Today we’re diving into what really makes a speaker compelling. And honestly? It’s not about polish. It’s not about being slick or perfect. It’s about presence.

I share a clip from The King’s Speech that always gets me—because it’s such a powerful reminder that our voice matters. Not because it’s flawless, but because it’s true. That king stuttered his way through history, and yet—his presence, his conviction, moved a nation.

That’s what we’re here for.

In this session, I talk about:

  • Why the energy behind your words is more important than perfection

  • How breath and posture create safety in the body before we even speak

  • The power of the pause—and why it lets your words land

  • And something I’ve written about a lot: detaching from the outcome
Because your job isn’t to be liked—it’s to be you. Fully. Without shrinking, softening, or performing.

“We’re not here for applause. We’re here to shine.”

Let’s bring this into your body.

Mini Exercise:

Choose a simple phrase. Something like:

  • “This matters.”

  • “I have something to say.”

  • “I’m ready.”

Now say it out loud twice.

First, say it with hesitancy. Let yourself go small. Drop your volume. Shrink a little.

Then… pause.

Breathe.

And say it again—with conviction. Let it fill your space. Let your body stand behind it.

Can you feel the difference?

It’s not about volume. It’s about energy.

The way you believe your words when you speak them.

I’ll see you Saturday for our penultimate session.

The final session will be an NLP session to encapsulate all the learnings and I will post that next Monday.

Ahh, big love folks,

Suzy x
