Pitch, Pace and Power - The Holy Trinity of Delivery
Pssst… this one’s on the house—available to all subscribers, not just the paid crew. Because good delivery is too delicious not to share.
💫✨🪄
I was going to split this video in 2 and give myself less work for next week but there’s soooo much I want to include for my paid peeps and so I’m leaving it just as it is.🤓
I was brought up with this—pitch, pace, and power—as the holy trinity of great delivery. It was drummed into me from the very beginning, and to be honest? It still holds up.
Pitch is your range. It’s what adds music to your message. Monotone delivery is the fastest way to lose your audience.
Pace is your rhythm. Are you rushing through your words, or giving people space to breathe with you?
Power is the energy behind your words. Not loudness—but intention. Presence. Belief.
Your voice doesn’t have to be big. But it does need to feel alive. When these three elements are in sync, your delivery becomes magnetic.
"A loud voice cannot compete with a clear voice, even if it's only a whisper" - Barry Neil Kaufman,
Try This: Your Delivery Practice
Let’s bring this into your body and voice with a super simple exercise.
Step 1: Choose a simple phrase like:
“I believe in this.”
“It’s time to speak up.”
“You’ve got this.”
Step 2: Record yourself saying it in four different ways:
Fast
Slow
Monotone
Expressive (whatever that feels like to you—animated, real, intentional)
Step 3: Watch or listen back—without judgement. Just notice:
What version felt most connected?
Which one landed in your body?
Which one do you want to receive?
This isn’t about being performative—it’s about being present. That’s where our power is.
See you on Saturday you beautiful beings, you!✨🪄
