Wonderful stuff, Suzy. I'm right there with you on the multiple courses exhorting us to do more, be more, be louder, more public. And I'm so over searching out a mythical freaking perfect avatar. I feel Substack is giving me space just to write and figure out what I want that writing to be in time.
I'm curious to know what paid content you might offer. I'm pondering turning on paid subscriptions but trying to work out what I can offer that won't become a drain or an obligation I'm not able to supply consistently.
So for me, because I’d like to mentor/coach in the public speaking area, I’d like to offer paid content around that, I think. Also anything to do with healing from High Control Religion would also be part of paid content because while my story might be rather unusual or extreme, all things to do with floodlighting our unconscious mind has my heart.
I’m going to restart the Substack Soirée again me thinks and take it from there.
I find it a challenge sometimes finding the balance between following the intuitive nudges and what feels good and knowing that some kind of business strategy is a goodly thing.
Beautiful Suzy - I am teaching a course now about blogging and Substack - I have to send you a link to one of the videos that went live - you may really love watching it!!! It really fits what you’re saying!!! Email me if you can so I can send you the hidden link - holly@decor8blog.com
Love this. I started writing a book in 2021, then realised it will probably take me about 20 years, and apparently these days publishers want you to have about 5k followers on socials and all that jazz, and then I discovered substack and that seemed a much better fit anyway :-)

Ahhh, yes, I hear you Anna! I’m a newbie to Substack but my word, it feels good! I’d still love to see your book/s in print one day though. ;o)
