Gorgeous piece and reflection. And yes - this title will sit with me a while. Especially as I wander about these next few weeks also in search of something. Much love.

Ahaa. Thank you Serena. I don’t think I’ve yet posted anything that I’ve tinkered and tended to so much…I was even up at 5.30am pouring over it. I don’t think I’d quite appreciated how much me Liverpool mirror each other.

Any you? Any complex tethers or relationships to a city?

Your words and the power of your language, Suzy! The intention, the raw emotion, and the power of vulnerability. I listened to the post and was immediately sucked into your vivid descriptions of Liverpool - a city I am yet to visit after 15 years of calling the UK my home.

Listening to your words drew my attention to my own recent epiphany about how the city I'm originally from and where generations of my family embraced opportunity, hustle, and basically grew from near poverty into abundance - is so dear to me. I have always been proud to be from Mumbai but certain experiences led to me choosing to leave, to even avoid travelling back there. My own perspective - shaped by recent life experienes and a lot of travel to and from Mumbai - is that to continue growing into who I am (who I am created to be) - is to own this deeply beautiful identity of where I'm from. I did actually leave my home city and country to emmigrate to the UK. Your reflections resonate with me although on a different level - I chose to move forwards because even though every opportunity was available to me in the 'city of dreams', I wanted a life where I could choose my volume of hustle, my joy, my standards of success.

Now, when's your podcast launching to all the major players? :)

Big love for your work and for your human being-ness, my wonderful friend!

Well, first off, you gotta visit! I’ll show you aaall the magic places.🪄

💫

Thank you so, so much for your lovely words dear Avril. It means so much.

“To continue growing into who I am (who I am created to be) - is to own this deeply beautiful identity of where I'm from.” This. And this. 🥹

💫

You’ve summed up there so beautifully and succinctly what that epiphany on the loo was about.😁 I realised just how diconnected I felt from my city and how feeling into the connection will probably be the very thing that enables me to move - I believe magic in my saying goodbye at some point.

And I’m totally here for “choosing our volume of hustle”..Yes!🙌🏻

I treasure you!

Ooh and I think I’m now connected to all the things…apple etc..I think so anyway!🫣
